Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To prevent occurrence of an oxygen deficiency accident by judging whether or not a flame current detecting circuit performs a normal motion, by a method wherein, through control of a test switch during combustion, a burner is forcibly brought into an abnormal combustion state, and when it is judged by the flame current detecting circuit that the burner is in an abnormal state, combustion is stopped. CONSTITUTION:By actuating a test switch 26 by a user during combustion in order to detect whether a flame rod 12 and a flame current detecting circuit 11 are normally worked or not, an analogue switch 7 is opened. When a flame ion current value is decreased and the output potential of an amplifier 49 is decreased to a combustion stop level, a low level combustion stop signal is outputted from a comparator 50 to a control circuit 1. The power source of a pump control circuit 9 is shut off to stop driving of an electromagnet pump 10, and a burner motor control circuit 3 is controlled so that the operation of a burner motor 5 is stopped. Thus, combustion is stopped, and it can be detected that the frame rod 12 and the flame current detecting circuit 11 and the like are normally actuated.
