Tool exchanging method for machine tool

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To permit a tool to be exchanged, by placing a tool pot number table and a tool number table to correspond to a memory part and rewriting a tool for the next machining, stored in memory in the tool number table, to be replaced with a used tool. CONSTITUTION:A tool No. table 67B refers a tool pot No., corresponding to a tool of T105, to a tool pot No. table 67A. And a magazine 7 is rotated so that a tool storage position 20 is opposed to an ATC9. The ATC9, after it holds T105 in one part and T201 in the other, is turned 180 deg.. Further the T201 of the ATC9 is stored in the tool storage position 20 of the magazine 7, and the T105 is set to a punch press 1. In the point of time a tool exchange is finished, a No. corresponding memory part 67 rewrites a content of the tool No. table 67B to be stored in memory so that the table positions the T105 to correspond to a position of tool pot No.0 and the T201 to correspond to a position of tool pot No.20.
