Optical card
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To reduce the size of a reader by forming recording regions to approximately half part on one surface when viewed in the moving direction of the reader. CONSTITUTION:The front face 1a of an optical card 1, which is to be conveyed longitudinally in the reader, is used as a recording face and the rear face 1b as a subject face. The front face 1a is longitudinally bisected and is formed with the two recording regions 2a and 2b. The recording regions 2a and 2b are respectively designated as the face A and the face B. The optical card is set to the reader by positioning the face A on top in the case of reading the face A and inverting the front and rear sides thereof and positioning the face B at the top in the case of reading the face B. Track number parts 3a, 3a of information tracks extending in the longitudinal direction are, therefore, formed to the respective top parts of the recording regions 2a, 2b and in succession thereof, information recording parts 3b, 3b are formed. The moving range of the optical card in the reader is thereby decreased and the size of the reader is reduced.
