Image together pasting device

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To contrive to reduce the number of times of arithmetic operation for decision about the together pasting position of the common area between images A and B by deciding the position where correlation is largest in order as the together pasting position more accurate than a rough together pasting position. CONSTITUTION:The images A and B read out by an image reader 1 are divided by pxp' picture elements by using a two-dimensional table generation part 7 and values of picture elements in blocks are counted to generate tables A' and B'. A correlation arithmetic part 10 finds the rough together pasting positions of the tables A' and B' on the basis of movement range information from an image together pasting control part 6 and a together pasting position and sends them to the control system 6. The control part 6 sends the information as the accurate together pasting position to an image together pasting pat 12 to indicate together pasting operation. The together pasting part 12 reads the images A and B out of image storage parts 4 and 5, paste them at the together pasting positions, and store the resulting image in an image storage part 13.
