Designating method for relative position of three-dimensional object
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To decrease the man-hour required for designing by instructing a point on each object, and a direction vector, and designating relative position of the object, instead of inputting X-Z coordinate values and rotational angles in the periphery of X-Z axes, by which each three-dimensional object is moved actually. CONSTITUTION:A result of the end of a shape definition of objects 11, 12 is displayed on a graphic display, and subsequently, points 13, 14 on the object 11, and points 15, 16 on the object 12 are instructed by using an input means such as a tablet, etc. In such a way, by the points 13-16 which are instructed and direction vectors 17-20, two coordinate systems which are to coincide with each other are constituted in the inside of a computer, and by making them coincide with each other, a rotational relation of each object is determined. In such a way, a design mistake is obviated and the man-hour required for a correction, etc. is decreased.
