Four-wheel steering device for vehicle
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To prevent the oversteering action caused by changing a rear wheel to be rapidly steered in the time of a reverse phase, by providing a hysteresis setting part, which sets a steering ratio characteristic in the time of deceleration to be displaced to a direction of the same phase as compared with the basic steering ratio characteristic in the time of acceleration and low speed, in a four-wheel steering device. CONSTITUTION:A bevel gear 48 is mounted to a rotary shaft 46, and a bevel gear 49, mounted onto an output shaft 50a of a stepping motor 50, is meshed with said bevel gear 48. If a sector gear 45 is turned by actuating the stepping motor 50, a holder 31 changes a tilt angle for the reference surface, and a steering angle thetaR of rear wheels 2L, 2R is controlled. While the sector gear 45, if it is turned from the neutral position, changes steering ratio so as to be controlled in the same phase steering both front and rear wheels to be directed to the same direction. The stepping motor 50 is actuated so as to be controlled by an output from a control unit with a built-in microcomputer.
