Dielectric filter

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To obtain BPF having frequency characteristic that meets the requirement of a user without increasing the number of steps by connecting electrically between an external connection terminal and any resonator excepting a first step resonator or final step resonator, or between the external connection terminal and the holes provided near the resonators other than the first step resonator or final step resonator. CONSTITUTION:A metalic film 2 is provided on the side face of a dielectric block 1, and a metalic film 4 inside of a through hole 3 at proper interval is connected to a metalic film on the bottom face (short circuit end face). Holes 6 are provided between resonators A1, A2... constituted between films 4, 2 to connect resonators electromagnetically. For instance. an input terminal 7 is connected by the resonator A2 and a reactance element S, and an output terminal 8 is connected to the resonator 5 by a reactance element T. When the elements S, T are capacity, resin pins 21, 22 are pressed into the hole 3 of the resonator to proper depth and adjusted by the amount of insertion of metalic pins 23, 24. Then pin 23 is made an input terminal 7, and the pin 24 is connected to the pin 23 by an electrode pattern 34 having through holes 32, 33 on an insulating plate 31. By this constitution, the value of reactance is adjusted and the desired frequency characteristic is obtained.
