Optical filter
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To realize an inexpensive filter for a head-up display device by alternately laminating high refractive index dielectric layers consisting of an inorg. material and low refractive index dielectric layers consisting of an or. resin layer on a high-polymer film substrate. CONSTITUTION:The high and low refractive index films H, L are alternately formed in total 7 layers on the polyester substrate B. For example, the high refractive index dielectric is ZnS (2.35 refractive index) and is formed to 650Angstrom thickness of the film H by a sputtering device. The polyester film 121 un-rolled from a let-off roll 120 is thereafter moved in the direction of an arrow and is coated with an acrylic resin to about 600Angstrom thickness by a coating head. The film is then dried 130, is taken up on a take-up roll 122 and the film L is formed. Seven layers in total of the films H, L are formed by repeating such operations. The filter adequate for the head-up display is thereby obtd. in the flexible and industrially advantageous production mode. Since half of the multi-layered films are formed by the high-speed coating method, the cost is reduced.
