Curable composition
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To obtain a curable composition improved in weathering resistance, water resistance and heat resistance, by using an isobutylene polymer terminated with a reactive silicon group as the principal component. CONSTITUTION:A curable composition mainly consisting of an isobutylene polymer having a reactive silicon group on at least one of the molecular terminals, represented by formula I [wherein R<1> is H, a 1-8C alkyl, a 6-20C aryl or a 7-20C aralkyl, R<2> is a 1-10C bivalent hydrocarbon, R<3> and R<4> are each a 1-20C alkyl, a 6-20C aryl, a 7-20C aralkyl or a triorganosiloxy group of formula II (wherein R' is a 1-20C monovalent hydrocarbon, X is OH or a hydrolyzable group and, when two or more X groups are bonded to the Si, they may be the same or different, a is 0, 1, 2, or 3, b is 0, 1 or 2, and m is 0 or 1-8].
