Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To attain high gain while the base area is utilized effectively by forming an antenna pattern of a microstrip antenna on a 1st side of the triplate structure base, forming a slot for slot antenna on a 2nd side and forming a feeder corresponding to the slot of the slot antenna on a 3rd side. CONSTITUTION:The antenna element 1 of 16-element patch antenna is arranged on the antenna base 6 made of an insulator in the 1st side P1 and each antenna element 1 is energized through a feeder 2 of the patch antenna. The 2nd side is formed as a conductor side and acts like an earth face 3 of the patch antenna and the 16-element patch array antenna is formed by the 1st and 2nd sides P1, P2, 20 sets of slots 4 are formed on the 2nd side P2 and the 2nd side P2 acts like the antenna face of the 20-element slot array antenna. The feeder 5 is arranged on the 3rd side P3 to feed the slot 4 on the antenna base 6 made of an insulator.
