Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To prevent fluctuation of basic fuel supply quantity due to the features of fuel, by correcting the basic fuel supply quantity being determined based on an engine load and rotation such that a target combustion pressure corresponding to normal operating condition can be achieved and determining additional fuel supply quantity based on the corrected basic fuel supply quantity when the engine is accelerated. CONSTITUTION:A control unit 30 calculates a basic fuel injection quantity based on an intake air quantity fed from an air flow meter 10 and a rotation fed from a crank angle sensor 19. A target value of average effective pressure is set according to a data map based on a throttle valve opening fed from a throttle sensor 12 and a rotation. Feedback correction of fuel injection quantity is made when the engine load is heavier than a predetermined level based on a difference between said target value and an actual average effective pressure obtained by sampling an output from a cylinder inner pressure sensor 21 for detecting the combustion pressure in a cylinder according to the crank angle. Said feedback correction coefficient is also applied to an interrupting injection corresponding to an engine temperature under acceleration of engine.
