Solvent for cleaning coater and cleaning method

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To decrease the degrees of contamination and clogging of a coater by using a solvent without contg. a solvent which is a good solvent to a paint to be used for the coater or contg. such solvent at the ratio lower than the ratio of the solvent with which the above-mentioned paint is insoluble even if such solvent is incorporated therein. CONSTITUTION:The solvent which consists essentially of a true solvent, auxiliary solvent and diluent and is used for cleaning the coater does not contain the solvent which is the good solvent to the nonaq. dispersion type paint used for the coater or contains said solvent at the ratio lower than the solvent with which the above-mentioned paint is insoluble even if such solvent is incorporated therein. The degrees of the contamination and clogging of the coater can be decreased by using such solvent for cleaning to clean the coater; therefore, the cleaning operation for the coater and the peripheral equipment thereof which is heretofore executed is eliminated or facilitated.
