Method for purifying and recovering solvent
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To reduce initial cost and running cost to 1/2 an 1/3 respectively of those of distillation method by heating a waste solvent to evaporate and by separating the solvent from water vapor through an inorganic porous membrane module. CONSTITUTION:The raw liquid 101 is evaporated by a evaporator 102 into mixed gas 104 which is sent to the inorganic porous membrane module 105 such as silica-alumina gel. The inorganic porous membrane enable only the water vapor in mixed gas to selectively permeate it by decompressing the effluent side, and the mixed gas is made by this membrane into almost pure solvent vapor 106 which is liquefied in a condenser 109 and recovered as a purified solvent 111. On the other hand, the water vapor 107 permeated the inorganic porous membrane module 105 is compressed and heated by a compressor 108 and is used as a heat source for the evaporator 102.
