Rear wheel steering limit device for vehicle
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To prevent the steering angle of a rear wheel from being increased over that of a front wheel, by a method wherein, when the steering angle of the front wheel exceeds a given value, the feed of pressure oil to a rear wheel steering actuator is stopped. CONSTITUTION:Short circuit valves 15 and 16, being capable of short-circuiting between circuits 7 and 8, are located between a metering pump 3 and a control valve 10. The short circuit valves 15 and 16 are brought into mechanical contact with each other for opening by means of a steering angle detecting part 18, situated to a steering linkage 17 of front wheels 1, when a steering angle is increased to a given value or more, and short-circuits the circuits 7 and 8 to each other. Since, when the circuits 7 and 8 are brought into a short-circuited state, the pressure of the circuit 7 is uniformized with that of the circuit 8, the control valve 10 is restored to a neutral position, and as a result, a steering actuator 4 is brought into a locked state, and the steering angle of the rear wheels is fixed to that of the rear wheels.
