Slip controller for automobile

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To reduce the necessary time for the convergence of slip by properly setting the aimed value, i.e. initial value in the slip control on the start of the slip control. CONSTITUTION:The excessive increase of the slip of a driving wheel A for a road surface is prevented by controlling B the torque applied onto the driving wheel A. The aimed initial value in the slip control C is set according to the traveling state which gives an influence onto the slip between the driving wheel A and the road surface by an aimed value varying means D and an initial value setting means E. Therefore, the time for the convergence of slip can be reduced by taking account of the easiness of slide of the driving wheel A for the road surface from the start of the slip control C. Further, in order to detect F the traveling state, the conditions such as the kind of tire, weather, and traveling road state may be input in manual form or the traveling state may be estimated, having the variation of the traveling state in the preceding slip control as standard.
