Magnetic recording and reproducing method for video tape recorder

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To make the recording signal wavelength of a digital signal in a long wavelength and to record in high density by executing the magnetic recording of a digital signal by subjecting to its parallel signal processing with its multiphasing by a PSK modulator and its multiplexing by a carrier frequency. CONSTITUTION:One or plural PSK modulators 3 are provided and the digital signal subjected to coding a1-an are recorded by processing in parallel signal with the multiphase modulating of the PSK modulator 3 and the multiplexing by the carrier frequency. Namely the PSK modulator 3 subjects the parallel bit signals a1-an coded in a bit to parallel signal processing by each phase and carrier frequency, outputs a PSK modulated wave recording signal Pm, which is recorded on a magnetic tape, etc., by a recording head 5 after being amplified by shifting it with a recording and reproducing amplifier 4. The magnetic recording signal wavelength of the digital signal can thus be made in a long wavelength and a high density recording can be done.
