Feeding method in molten metal casting device
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To prevent the air from mixing with a molten metal and to reduce a cavity and chilling by blowing out a gas contg. no oxygen toward the center of a molten metal pouring port and after discharging the inside air with its suction by inserting a pipe into a casting sleeve executing the pouring of the molten metal. CONSTITUTION:An injection device 14 is tilted with the advance of the piston rod 25 of a tilting cylinder 23 to move a nozzle pipe 28 just the above of a casting sleeve 22 and when a high pressure gas container is opened, a propane gas is injected from the nozzle of the nozzle pipe 28 and ignited. The combustion gas film of the propane gas is formed on the pouring port of the sleeve 22 to shut off the air flow between the inner and outer parts of the sleeve 22. The air is sucked by inserting an air suction pipe 30 into the sleeve 22 and when it is pulled out, the state of existing no air inside the sleeve 22 is attained to. The molten metal is fed by inserting a ladle from the gate of the sleeve 22 under injecting propane gas. No air is mixed with a molten metal 32 nor the surface is oxidized. After pouring the injection device 14 is stood under injecting the propane gas.
