Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To always control an objective lens at an optimum angle to a disk surface and to keep it in a best state by providing focusing coils in two positions in the radial direction of the disk independently of each other and adding a disk inclination detection signal to a driving circuit. CONSTITUTION:An actuator is provided which has such structure that an objective lens 1 included in an optical head can be not only freely moved vertically and horizontally with respect to the fixed end but also included, and a coil which has a driving force in the focusing direction in the actuator is divided into first and second coils 2a and 2b in two positions in the radial direction of the disk, and first and second driving circuits 16a and 16b for respective coils are provided, and the signal which detects the inclination of a disk surface 17 is added to driving circuits 16a and 16b, and the objective lens 1 is driven in accordance with the inclination of the disk surface. Thus, the optical head can follow up the quick change of inclination of the disk surface, and reproducing is always performed in the best state throughout the disk.
