Color separation image correcting method

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To minimize a color correcting error and to improve a color reproducibility by converging gradually from observation color data, calculating a final target value and making this into color data. CONSTITUTION:A reproducing color obtained by the combination of plural basic colors is outputted concerning plural combinations. Next, the value of the color specification system to respective combinations is calculated. The space area of the color specification system including an intermediate color which comes to be a target set in the space formed by the value of the calculated color specification system is successively divided corresponding to the space area of the coordinate system constituted of the basic color and the space area including the intermediate color which comes to be the target is reduced. The space area obtained as the result is operated and the target value of the coordinate system corresponding to the value of the color specification system is obtained. The target value of the coordinates is corrected as the combination of the basic color to reproduce the intermediate color to be obtained. Thus, color separation image information corrected corresponding to the input color separation image information is obtained. By this method, the correcting value is very correct and for that reason, the color reproducibility of the high accuracy can be executed.
