Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To improve acceleration prevailing during demand for acceleration without damaging controllability prevailing during normal running, by a method wherein, in order to provide target acceleration decided based on accel control amount, an output regulating means is controlled during demand for acceleration. CONSTITUTION:When, in a control unit 5, an acceleration control prohibit switch is turned OFF, a clutch 2 is in an engaged state, the steering angle of a handle is lower than a given value, and the gear position of a transmission 3 is a 2-step or a 3-step, the opening of a throttle valve 4 is set through control of acceleration. In this case, since the throttle valve 4 is controlled with the aid of a DC motor 9 so that acceleration is adjusted to a value decided by an accel control amount, acceleration demanded by a driver can be reliably realized. Meanwhile, except the above case, control of the throttle valve 4 is effected so that a throttle opening is adjusted to a target value decided based on an accel control amount, and regulation of the output and rotation of an engine 1 are facilitated.
