Polyimide composition

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To obtain a highly functional composition having a remarkably low Young's modulus and excellent strength as well as elongation characteristics, by blending two specific kinds of polyimide precursors. CONSTITUTION:A polyimide composition obtained by blending (A) a polyimide precursor prepared by reacting an aromatic diamine expressed by formula I (X is -O-, -S-, -CO-, -NHCO-, -CH2-, etc.) with pyromellitic anhydride with (B) a polyimide precursor obtained by reacting an aromatic diamine expressed by formula II (Y is -O-, -S-, -CH2-, -CO-, -SO- or -SO2-) with pyromellitic anhydride at 5/95-95/5, preferably 1/9-4/1 molar ratio [(A)/(B)] of the components (A) to (B).
