Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To realize the write protection of a fundamental data, etc., by recording the fundamental data and a program which executes the erasing operation of the recording area of the data unloadably, in a prescribed area on a disk. CONSTITUTION:On an unloadable and read only ROM part 5 at a part to a position (b) separated by a prescribed distance from the outer peripheral position (a) of the table of contents TOC part 4 of the disk 1, the program which transfers the data between a host computer, etc., and an erasing program to execute the erasing operation of the recording area are recorded in advance. For this reason, even when the content of the ROM part 5 is read out, and the erasing operation of the ROM part 5 is executed by the erasing program, a recorded content is not erased, and the destruction of the program, etc., due to a mis-operation, etc., can be prevented, and also, the erasing program is executed by using a copied disk, then, the recorded content is erased automatically.
