Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To provide the title compsn. which is useful as a base for cosmetic and medicine, has excellent extensibility and if free from retention of wetness to the touch and which comprises a cyclic dimethylpolysiloxane as a principal agent and, blended therewith, a mixture of at least one member selected from among animal and vegetable oils and vaselines and a dextrin aliph. acid ester. CONSTITUTION:90-30pts.wt. cyclic dimethylpolysiloxane (A) of formula I (wherein n is 4-6) [e.g., decamethylcyclopentasiloxane (b.p. 210 deg.C; viscosity 3.9cs/25 deg.C)], 5-50pts.wt. mixture (B) of at least one member selected from among animal and vegetable oils such as jojoba oil, soybean oil, lanolin and beef tallow and vaselines, and 5-30pts.wt. dextrin aliph. acid ester (C) of formula II (wherein R is H or an 8-20C acyl; and m is 20-30) are mixed together, heated so as to form a homogeneous soln., and quenched, thus giving a gel.
