Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To reduce a space required for installation, in a power transmission device capable of selectively transmitting output to a plurality of operation shaft by means of a single motor, by installing, on a rotor, a motor to the output shaft of which both solenoid clutches for self-rotation and power transmission are connected. CONSTITUTION:When a situation in which a driving force from a motor 40 is transmitted to one of a plurality of operation shaft 30 pivoted on a base frame 10 is switched to another situation in which, when another operation shaft 30 is coupled to said motor, a power transmitting solenoid clutch 60 shall be put in off state to release its engagement with a clutch plate 31, then a self-rotation solenoid clutch 50 shall be put in on state to make a pinion gear 15 to roll on a rack 15 by the rotation of the motor 40 so that a rotor 20 may rotate until a desired recess 70 engages with a stopper ball 71 energized by a spring 72. The motor 40 shall be stopped under this situation, the self-rotation solenoid clutch 50 shall be put in off state and the power transmitting solenoid clutch 60 shall be put in on state. Then the motor is coupled to a desired operation shaft 30 so that the driving force of the motor 40 can be transmitted. Thus, a plurality of output shafts can be selectively driven by a single motor so that a space for installation may be reduced.
