Piercing method for ceramics plate

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To simplify a piercing and to improve the working accuracy by projecting a laser beam from the surface side as well as providing a reflection plate at the back face side of a ceramic plate and performing the piercing and beveling of both faces of an opening part at once. CONSTITUTION:A reflection plate 8 is provided at a slight space on the back face 5 of a ceramic plate 1 and a laser beam generator 11 is arranged at the surface 4 side as well. A laser beam 3 is projected for the surface 4 from the surface 4 side of the ceramic plate 1 to form the hole 2 for guiding. In this case, the beveling of the opening part is performed with the concentration of the energy density near the opening part 6 at the surface side. At the same time the laser beam passed through the guide hole 2 is reflected by the reflection plate 8 and the reflected light 9 performs the beveling of the opening part 7 at the back face side. The piercing of the hole 2 for guiding and the beveling of both face sides are performed at the same time with the projection of the laser beam 3. Consequently the working is simplified and the accuracy is improved as well.
