Cartridge for magneto-optical disk

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To miniaturize the titled device by forming a reinforcement part having a step receiving a head penetrated incorporatedly to a front ridge opposed to a window hole of an upper case and a lower case thereby loading the head without changing the interval with the coil. CONSTITUTION:A reinforcement part 11 thinner than the thickness of the case is formed incorporatedly with a case 6 to a part of the front ridge of the lower case 6 of the cartridge case 1 opposed to a window hole 3 and the upper case 5 is formed similarly. Then the thickness of the reinforcement part 11 is made nearly a half of the set interval between an electromagnetic coil and a laser head. Since a thickness D of the front ridge of the case 1 opposed to the window hole 3 is made smaller than the set interval between a recording/reproducing head and the coil, it is not required to load while the interval between the coil and the head is transferred vertically. Thus, the constitution of the carriage is simplified and the device is miniaturized.
