Knocking controller for internal combustion engine

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To prevent the erroneous operation in switching the amplification rate by installing a judgement level correcting means which corrects the knock judgement level calculation factor of a judgement level calculation means for reducing the error of judgement level generated by the variation of the amplification rate. CONSTITUTION:The error between the knock judgement level and the sensor signal average value due to the switching of the amplification rate of the sensor input stage can be estimated to a certain degree in preparing a system. Utilizing this fact, the factor in the knock judgement level calculation such as the judgement level preparation constant, etc. is corrected simultaneously with switching the amplification rate of the sensor input stage. Therefore, the change of the control state before and after switching is eliminated, and the correct knocking control ranging from low speed to high speed is permitted.
