Optical disk control system
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To execute a writing processing at a high speed and to improve a space efficiency by recording spirally data on an optical disk, holding the writing-defect data in a buffer memory and thereafter, re-writing them in a lump. CONSTITUTION:A writing mechanism 2 records spirally data into an optical disk 1 and executes the reproduction. A deciding mechanism 3 reads and decides the quality of the writing condition simultaneously at the time of writing the data. When the written data are decided to be defective by the mechanism, the data are held at a buffer memory 4. At the time of writing to plural tracks, the data, which are decided to be a writing defect, are successively held at a memory 4 and a series of data is continuously written. When the writing is completed, the data, which are held at the memory 4 and decided to be the writing defect, are re-written in a lump. Thus, the seek time is omitted and the high speed can be executed. It is unnecessary to provide a writing area for the writing defect for a track and the efficiency of a space is improved.
