Eye pack agent

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:An eye pack agent having improved cool refreshing feeling, improved performance and a high water content, obtained by blending a specific pack base with 3-l-menthoxypropane-1,2-diol and/or l-menthol as a cool feeling agent. CONSTITUTION:(a) 1-10wt% based on total amounts of eye pack agent of sodium polyacrylate is blended with (b) 0.01-1wt% aluminum hydroxide, (c) 0.1-5wt% light silicic anhydride and/or 0.1-5wt% hydrous silicic acid and (d) 0.01-2wt% 3-l-menthoxypropane-1,2-diol and/or 0.05-1wt% l-menthol, preferably both of them, a water content is adjusted to >=55wt%, preferably further the blend is adjusted to 4-7 pH by addition of an organic acid, to give an eye pack agent providing the circumference of the eyes with a refreshing feeling and a cool feeling, having fatigue recovery effect on eyes, awakening effect and improved performance.
