Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To eliminate air loss and carry out secure adsorption and separation by closing the opened portion of a vacuum chamber with a single transfer belt having through holes. CONSTITUTION:When suction starts in a vacuum chamber 1, a transfer belt 2 is deflected along ribs 5, 5 while the lowermost peper sheet 7a is also sucked to be deflected together. Thus, a pocket 10 is formed between the lower-most paper sheet 7a and the blanks thereupon. When air is blasted into the pocket 10 from an air knife 9 under such a condition, the paper sheets upon the lowermost one are levitated up. Then, the transfer belt 2 is driven to separately transfer only the lowermost paper sheet 7a.
