Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To eliminate the influence of the closing speed of an original presser and to shorten an operation time by fitting plural optical sensors at specific positions of a long-sized body corresponding to various originals of fixed form size. CONSTITUTION:One end part of the long-sized body 3 which is so formed that it can be bent freely at the center part 33 is coupled with a device body at a specific position, and the other end part is coupled with a specific position of a moving frame which supports an optical part 38. Further, plural optical sensors 37 are fitted on the top surface of the long-sized body 3 corresponding to various originals of fixed form size, e.g. A3. When the moving frame which supports the optical part 38 is at its home position, the long-sized body 3 is nearly extended and the optical sensors 37 correspond to the various original of fixed form size, e.g. A3, so the size of an original is detected automatically by deciding which optical sensor 37 detects the original. Then, the long-sized body 3 is bent following up the movement of the moving frame, so the original is exposed without any trouble. Further, the device is easily mounted without requiring any special driving structure.
