Silver halide photographic material
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To improve the shelf stability of a silver halide photographic sensitive material at high temp. as well as to increase the sensitivity and to reduce fog by using silver halide particles having crystal faces represented by Miller indices (110) and composed of plural phases of silver bromide and/or silver iodobromide and a specified compound. CONSTITUTION:This silver halide photographic sensitive material contains silver halide particles having crystal faces represented by Miller indices (110) and composed of plural layers and/or phases of silver bromide and/or silver iodobromide and a compound represented by formula A or B (where each of R<1>-R<5> is optionally substituted with lower alkyl such as <=6C alkyl and each of R<1>-R<4> may be a heterocyclic ring contg. N such as a pyrroline ring). The surface area of the (110) faces of the silver halide particles is preferably at least 20%, especially preferably >=80% of the total surface area.
