Secondary station address setting system
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To make constitution simple, small and usable in common by automating setting of address used to specify each secondary station as the object of communication of a primary station. CONSTITUTION:A primary station 1 is made up of a transmitting and receiving unit attached to a controlling device 2 such as a programmable logic controller etc., and power source voltage is supplied to it. A transmission line 3 of three- core twist is led out, and plural secondary stations 4-1, 4-2, 4-3...4-K...4-N are connected one after another to the transmission line 3. Number of input/output points of secondary stations 4-1, 4-2, 4-3,...4-K...4-N is made 2, 4, 6, 6, 2 respectively. Thereby, addresses corresponding to count values of a counter 6 are set automatically from the secondary station 4-1 of the primary station 1 side successively. As a status signal is returned from each secondary station 4 as an answer signal to a poling signal sent out from the primary station 1 as an answer request signal, the primary station 1 side can confirm easily that address setting is made surely to each secondary station from the content of memory of a count buffer 5.
