Method of taking hand print or footprint
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To enable a hand print, a footprint, the lines of the hand or the like to be taken without any unpleasantness, by applying an alcohol, a glycol, a fatty acid and a surfactant to the palm of a hand or the sole of a foot, and pressing the latter against a paper coated with a coating material prepared by mixing a colorless leuco dye, a color developer, a dispersant, a binder or the like. CONSTITUTION:A fine powder of a leuco dye such as crystal violet lactone is appropriately dispersed or mixed in an aqueous solution of polyvinyl alcohol to prepare a dispersed liquid. Another dispersed liquid is prepared by adding a binder such as starch, talc and a synthetic rubber latex to a material capable of reacting with the leuco dye to develop a color, e.g., a clay mineral such as attapulgite, acid clay and activated clay, or a phenolic novolak resin. A coating material obtained by mixing the two dispersed liquid is applied to the entire surface of a raw paper to obtain a paper to be used. A liquid or creamy material comprising a single one or a mixture of an alcohol, a glycol, a fatty acid and a surfactant and optionally comprising a thickener, a perfume or the like is used as a color developer for developing a color on the coated surface of the paper when being brought into contact therewith after being applied to the palm of a hand or the sole of a foot.
