Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To obtain a compact and thin portable radio receiver provided with using convenience by connecting an earphone cord unitedly with the ratio receiver so that necessary length of the earphone cord can be drawn out at the use of the receiver. CONSTITUTION:When the earphone cord 8 is drawn out up to its maximum, a spiral spring fixed in a cord storing axle 10 is wound up completely. When one end 14b of a clatch level 14 is depressed downward, a fitting claw part 14a of the lever 14 is disengaged from a clatch wheel 13. Consequently, the cord 8 is automatically wound up along the peripheral part of a cord storing wheel 9 by the rotational torque of the spiral spring wound up due to said disengagement. Since a circuit substrate 17 occupies a large area by its size, the circuit substrate 17 is superposed to the cord storing wheel 9 on the sectional side, so that the cord storing axle 10 part of the storing wheel 9 is shunted by notching the circuit substrate 17.
