Heat exchanger
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To reduce the weight and size of the whole of a heat exchanger, by a method wherein a heat exchanger, cooling lubricating oil for an internal combustion engine for a car by means of cooling water, has structure such that it can be mounted independently to an engine block by means of a mounting bolt with a built-in bypass valve. CONSTITUTION:A heat exchanger unit 10 is partitioned by a pair of plates in which an incoming hole 17, a communicating hole 16, and a through-hole 15 are formed. A first space C, a second space B, and a through-space A are formed in a case 25 by positioning the incoming hole 17, the communicating hole 16, and the through-hole 15 of a heat exchange unit 10. Lubricating oil flows in a flow pass 33 and a branch flow pass 34 of a bolt 32 through a first oil pass 41 of an engine block 40 and in the first space C through an oblong hole 29a of a mounting mount 29. The lubricating oil flowing through the first space C into each heat exchanger 10 flows circumferentially along the outer periphery of a collar 20. After the lubricating oil is heat-exchanged with cooling water in a space 26, it flows through the communicating hole 16 into the second space B. The lubricating oil so cooled is returned through a hole 29c of the mounting mount 29 to a second oil pass 42.
