Terminal communication system for local area network

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To shorten the time necessary for the modification of program and data and to improve the operational efficiency by so constituting the titled system that the program and the data are able to be simultaneously transmitted from the external storage device of one terminal equipment to those of other plural ones. CONSTITUTION:When informed of the occurrence of a fault in a communication line 101 or communication processor 20 by one of the terminal equipment 30, 40...4n, the terminal equipment 30 rewrites the program and the data in the external storage device of itself so that the communication with a CPU 10 is executed through a communication line 102 and the equipment 30 itself. The said rewritten program and data are transmitted from the equipment 30 to the other ones 40, 41...4n through a network line 200, and the latter ones 40, 41...4n writes the said program and data in their own external storage devices. In such way, only by rewriting the program and data in the external storage device of one terminal equipment 30 connected to the network line 200, the ones stored in the external storage devices of other plural terminal equipments are simultaneously modified.
