On-off device for regulating air current
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To simplify regulation of an air flow, by providing a shape memory alloy which has the one end mounted to an on-off valve, the other end secured, and exerts rotation moment in a direction reverse to that of rotation moment by a weight on the on-off valve through expansion and contraction. CONSTITUTION:A weight 6 is attached to a bent part 5a of a rotary shaft 5 of a main air current pipe 1 to exert rotation moment thereon. A fixing jig 8 is connected to an on-off plate 7 through a shape memory alloy 9. When the temperature of air is low, an inlet is closed by rotation moment exerted by the weight 6, and when temperature is increased, the shape memory alloy 9 is contracted to exert rotation moment in a direction reverse to that of said rotation moment on the on-off plate 7 to open an inlet. This enables a device to respond to a change in the conditions of an air flow.
