Abstract NEW MATERIAL:A compound shown by the formula I (R is 4-30C alkyl). EXAMPLE:5,10,15,20-Tetrakis(4-pentadecylphenyl)porphyrin. USE:A photoconductive film material, photoconductive element, etc. Having high solubility in various solvents. PREPARATION:For example, a benzaldehyde derivative (e.g., p- pentadecylbenzaldehyde, etc.,) is reacted with pyrrole in a solvent such as propionic acid, etc., under heating and under reflux.
