Surface coating agent for dental resin
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:A surface coating agent for dental resins, obtained by dispersing highly dispersible silicon dioxide in a dispersion medium in a specific proportion to give a pasty form, capable of surely preventing the polymerization inhibition of the dental resins and having improved operability. CONSTITUTION:A surface coating agent for dental resins, obtained by dispersing (A) 10-50pts.wt. preferably 15-30pts.wt. highly dispersible silicon dioxide in (B) 50-90pts.wt. dispersion medium selected from water-soluble solvents, e.g. glycol or ethylene glycol, to five a pasty form and, as necessary, adding about 0.5-10pts.wt. water-soluble reducing substance, e.g. sodium sulfite, thereto and capable of being readily applied to the surface of a reparative material, e.g. composite resin, due to moderate viscosity thereof, shielding the above-mentioned surface from oxygen in air and preventing the formation of a polymerization inhibition layer and further readily removable by washing with water, etc., after completing the hardening of the reparative material.
