Peptide derivative

Abstract

Abstract NEW MATERIAL:The compound of formula R1-Pro-Hyp-R2 (R1 is hydrophobic group; R2 is hydrophilic group). EXAMPLE:N-3-(4-hydroxyphenyl)propionyl-L-prolyl-L-hydroxyprolyl-glycyl -L-alanyl- glycine. USE:An antiplatelet agent. It can be administered as a peroral agent as well as injection. PREPARATION:The objective compound of formula wherein R1 is group of formula II and R2 is Gly-Ala-Gly can be produced e.g. by reacting the compound of formula Pro-Hyp(OBzl)-Gly-Ala-Gly-OBzl (Bzl is benzyl) with the compound of formula I (R3 is OH or H; n is 1-8) [e.g. 3-(4-benzyloxyphenyl)propionic acid] preferably in the presence of a condensation agent such as N,N'- dicyclohexylcarbodiimide in a solvent such as DMF at 0-50 deg.C for 2-20hr.
