Fluorescent nucleoside or nucleotide
Abstract
Abstract NEW MATERIAL:The compound of formula I [X1 and Y1 are group of formula II (n is 0 or integer of 1-3); Z1 is H or group of formula III (m is 0 or integer of 1-3); W1 is H or OH]. EXAMPLE:2-beta-D-deoxyribofuranosyl-3,6-dioxopyrimido[4,5-C]isoquinoline. USE:A fluorescent probe for the research of the relationship between the structure and the function of nucleic acid. PREPARATION:The compound of formula I can be produced e.g. by (1) reacting 5-iododeoxycytidine of formula IV with 1,1,3,3-tetraisopropyl-1,3-dichlorosiloxane in anhydrous pyridine under ice cooling to protect the hydroxyl group, (2) reacting the product with 2-iodobenzoyl chloride under ice cooling, (3) dissolving the reaction product in DMF and (4) cyclizing the compound by adding palladium acetate, triphenylphosphine and triethylamine to the solution.
