Control system for additional load of input and output control program

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To use a memory appropriate for each host program by loading additionally an input/output program with a request issued from the host program which is under execution and erasing said control program out of a memory when the loading action is over. CONSTITUTION:An additional input/output control program 3 is not resident at a main memory 5 in addition to a host program 1 stored in a program file of a file device 7A. An operating system 2A selects the program 3 out of the program file for additional load in response to the number of the input/output device in an execution address when an input/output request 9 is given to an additional input/output device 6 from the program 1. Then the program 3 loaded previously is erased by a request issued from the program 1 when the execution is through with the program 1.
