Steering wheel
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To prevent the separation of a pad part when an impact acts, by installing a deformation trailing part onto each holder in the pad part installed onto a steering-wheel body by a pair of column-side and pad-side holders having each fitting part. CONSTITUTION:A boss plate 3 having four integrally formed metal spokes on the outer peripheral edge part is fixed onto a boss 2 tightened and fixed onto the upper edge part of a steering shaft 1, and an annular metal ring part core metal 11 is welded at the top edge part of the spoke 4. A lower-part cover 6 covering the back surface of the spoke 4 is fixed onto the spoke 4 together with a column side holder 50 which has a nearly L-figure form and is arranged onto the upper surface of the spoke 4 and includes a deformation trailing part 53 by a common screw 7. An L-shaped spring holder 54 is fixed onto a supporting piece 51 in erection form of the holder 50, and a pad part 24 is installed by inserting the engaging piece 61 of a pad side holder 60 including a deformation trailing part 62 into a fitting part 55 between the holder 54 and the supporting piece 51.
