Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To provide a polyorganosiloxane composition having excellent adhesivity to a substrate, capable of forming a stable gel resistant to discoloration at high temperature, and suitable for electrical and electronic parts, by compounding a polyorganosiloxane with specific amounts of a specific polyorganohydrogensiloxane and a catalyst. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition can be produced by compounding (A) a polyorganosiloxane having a viscosity of 50-100,000cp, preferably 300-5,000cp and containing 0.1-2 vinyl groups bonded to Si atom in one molecule, wherein the other organic group bonded to the Si atom is a (substituted) univalent hydrocarbon group free from aliphatic unsaturated bond (the group selected from methyl, phenyl, etc., and the ratio of phenyl in whole organic group is <=50mol%) with (B) a polyorganohydrogensiloxane containing >=2 H atoms bonded to Si group in the molecule and having an effective hydrogen content of <=0.5wt% and (C) a catalyst selected from platinum-based catalyst, etc. The number of H atoms bonded to Si atom of the component B is 1-5, preferably 1-1.5 based on one vinyl group bonded to Si atom of the component A, and the amount of metallic element of the component C is 0.01-30ppm based on the sum of the components A and B.
