Rubber-modified styrene based resin composition having improved abrasion resistance characteristic

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:The titled resin composition, obtained by incorporating a rubber- modified styrene based resin prepared by dissolving a rubbery polymer in a styrene based monomer and polymerizing the resultant mixture with a specific comb-shaped copolymer and organopolysiloxane and having good surface smooth ness, sliding abrasion resistance and impact resistance. CONSTITUTION:A resin composition obtained by incorporating (A) 100pts.wt. rubber-modified styrene based resin prepared by dissolving 3-15wt% rubbery polymer in 97-85wt% styrene based monomer and polymerizing the resultant mixture with (B) 0.25-1.25pts.wt., expressed in terms of silicon content, organopolysiloxane expressed by the formula [R is (halo)alkyl or (halo)aryl; R' and R'' are phenyl or 1-6C alkyl; m is a natural number showing the number of polysiloxane units in which the polymer keeps the liquid state at orginary temperature] and (C) 0.3-5pts.wt. comb-shaped copolymer having the backbone chain part consisting of a polymer of a styrene based monomer and the side chain part consisting of a polymer of an arylate based monomer.
