Inner peripheral cutting edge for cutting hard material
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To keep good circularity for inner ring periphery and improve cutting accuracy by tensioning a thin steel plate or a ring of small breadth with many steel strips arranged radially. CONSTITUTION:A powder of diamond or cubic boron nitride is bonded to the outside of the folding part 3 of a thin steel strip 2. Many of said steel strip 2 are radially arranged toward the outside of a ring 1 in such a manner as hooked on the inner side of a thin ring 1 and the circularity of the inside of the ring 1 is kept at a good condition. The outer ends of the steel strips 2 are connected to a circular frame 6 by using a pin 5 and tensioned on a uniform and strong force by using a tensioning jig, thereby forming an inner spherical cutting edge for a hard material.
