Suspension device for vehicle

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To improve the steering characteristic of strut suspension device by setting the strut inclination angel at the rear wheel side smaller than that at the front wheel side while controlling the car height low under high speed and high under low speed. CONSTITUTION:Inward inclination angles of strut body/fluid actuators 13, 23 for front and rear suspension devices 1, 2 under standard condition are set to be smaller at the rear wheel side strut 23 than at the front wheel side thus to make the variation rate of roll center height due to bound/rebound of wheel higher at the front wheel side 1 than at the rear wheel side 2. The controller 6 will control the vehicle height to be low under high speed detected through vehicle speed detecting means 5 while to be high under low speed. With such arrangement, it can be controlled automatically to under steering under high speed while to over steering under low speed.
