Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To secure the strength of a recession of an instrument panel with a compact reinforcement, by fixing a reinforcement installed at the opening behind a recession formed at the instrument panel main body to a car body side through reinforcements of the said main body furnished around the said recession. CONSTITUTION:At an instrument panel main body 1 is formed a recession 2 with the bottom side opening, it which a glow box 3 of a bucket form is arranged to open and close freely. From the upper side to the rear side of the recession 2 is formed an opening 4 for the purpose of work through flanges 5b and 6b. At the opening 4 are arranged an instrument stay 9, a side bracket 11, and a side mounting bracket as plural reinforcements. In this case, a reinforcement 14 is added to install, with its inside 14A connected to the instrument main body 1, a center bracket 7, and the stay 9, and with its outside 14B to the bracket 11 and the like, to be supported by the car body.
