Paint resin composition

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To obtain a paint resin compsn. which is freed from the problem of peeling of lycine and mastic with the lapse of time after application, by blending a methacrylate ester polymer with a polymn. catalyst. CONSTITUTION:A resin compsn. contains a methacrylate ester polymer (A) contg. at lest one C=C bond per molecule and having a number-average MW of 10,000 or below and a dispersion ratio of 1.6 or below and a polymn., catalyst (B). The polymer (A) can be prepd. by a method (1) wherein the polymer is directly prepd. by anionic polymn. using an alkali metal alcoholate as a polymn. initiator, a method (2) wherein the polymer obtd. by the method (1) is modified, a method (3) wherein the polymer is prepd. by living polymn. using a silicon compd. as a polymn. initiator or a method (4) wherein the polymer obtd. by the method (3) is modified.
